Mark Hoppus, the bassist of blink-182, has announced that Australian rock band Violent Soho is reuniting. The news was revealed during his spoken-word storytelling tour at the Sydney Opera House. Hoppus brought out Violent Soho’s frontman Luke Boerdam and guitarist James Tidswell for an acoustic performance of blink-182’s ‘Dammit’, confirming the reunion. This marks the first time Boerdam and Tidswell have appeared on stage together since their final show in September 2022.
The reunion news comes as Violent Soho celebrates the 10th anniversary of their seminal album ‘WACO’. The band had announced an indefinite hiatus after their final show in 2022. Although neither band member has publicly confirmed the reunion, the timing suggests a potential comeback. With a legacy spanning over 16 years, Violent Soho’s return is highly anticipated by fans and the music industry alike.
