Don Toliver took the stage at SXSW on Friday, March 13, and delivered a high-octane performance that solidified his superstar status. Hours before the show, Toliver promised his fans that they would understand why he’s been making waves in the music industry. With his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, OCTANE, and all 18 tracks hitting the Billboard Hot 100, Toliver has been on a roll in 2026.
Toliver’s set at the Moody Amphitheater was a victory lap of sorts, with the Texas native performing in front of nearly 5,000 fans. He kicked off his set with a slowed-down intro and rode into his OCTANE opener ‘E85.’ The crowd went wild with his Justin Timberlake-sampling anthem ‘BODY’ and the moshpit-inducing ‘OPPOSITE.’ With his fifth album under his belt, Toliver jumped around his discography, performing fan-favorites like ‘Can’t Say,’ ‘No Pole,’ and ‘Lemonade.’ The crowd was a mix of Gen-Z ragers and millennials, all united in their love for Toliver’s music.
