Police body cam footage from Justin Timberlake’s 2024 DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, has been released. The 45-year-old singer had initially sued to block the release of the footage but later agreed to the redactions as part of a settlement. The redacted footage was provided to news outlets that had submitted public records requests. Timberlake was arrested in June 2024 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and ultimately pled guilty to a lesser impaired-driving charge.
The body cam footage shows Timberlake struggling during a series of sobriety tests after being pulled over in a BMW SUV on the side of the road. He is heard saying, ‘Guys, I’m just following my friends back to my house,’ in slowed-down speech. Timberlake is later instructed to walk a straight line and lift one foot six inches off the ground, during which he says, ‘Sorry, my heart is racing.’ He was later placed in handcuffs and arrested. The Village of Sag Harbor stated that they are pleased the matter has been resolved and the village will be able to comply with its statutory obligation to release the material.
